During the off-season I must begin to train and condition my body for another 162+ game season. For this, I come to no one other than Brad Bearden at Elite Fitness. Brad Bearden has been my personal trainer on two separate occasions over the last two years. He is currently training me now. As an Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader I am held to extremely high standards regarding many aspects of life including my physical condition. After my husband and I survived a horrible accident, and I recovered from a life altering neck injury, I never thought I would be able to be active again. Brad Bearden is a phenomenal personal trainer I would highly recommend especially if you are very serious going above and beyond to attain your peak physical condition. Best trainer in the Birmingham area. Brad has creativity in his routines, and a commitment to building a great physique in all of his clients. He's also a great guy who really cares about all of his clients, personally as well as professionally. Be prepared to bring it: his sessions are at an entirely different level of intensity and equivalent to those super-expensive Hollywood trainers you read about. Don't hire him if you're quasi-committed, only if you're dedicated to being in the best shape you've ever been.

Last year I was shocked when I suffered a heart attack and almost lost my life. After recovering and completing Cardiac Rehab, I realized I enjoyed the changes my body was making, and I was looking for a way to further challenge myself. I decided I might benefit from a trainer - but wanted to find one who could customize my workouts to my individual needs. I started observing the trainers in the gym I was attending and noticed Brad displaying an incredible amount of patience and encouragement with his clients. Working with Brad has been part of my rehabilitation, and I feel stronger and more sure of myself physically than I have in years. One of the things I appreciate about Brad is that he pushes me so much farther than I ever thought I could go, but he is constantly aware of me - my heart rate, my breathing, etc. -so that I feel safe when I'm working with him. Because of my health history, there are times that I get scared during a workout. Brad is cautious with me, encouraging me to listen to my body while also helping my work through the fears. He doesn't stop the workout, but adjusts to the response my body gives to the challenge. I feel safe when I workout with Brad - that is a gift. Working out with Brad is fun and exhausting at the same time. I remember when I first started training with him, I wished I could afford to work with him every day....who would have thought exercise could be fun while challenging me and making my sweat my heart out. I tend to ask a lot of questions about what we're doing in a workout - I appreciate that Brad is not offended or intimidated by questions. He fesses up when he doesn't know the answer to a question, but usually has a well thought out answer to my questions. I still have a long way to go on this journey to health and fitness. I am proud of what I've accomplished so far, and I owe a great deal to Brad for walking with me on this journey so far.
