Elite Fitness Personal Training Testimonials
Mitch Moreland, 29

"During the off-season I must begin to train and condition my body for another 162+ game season. For this, I come to no one other than Brad Bearden at Elite Fitness. Brad knows exactly what I want and will regularly adjust my training accordingly. He also takes time to explain the reasons behind our method of training on a regular basis. Brad is extremely passionate about the success of his clients and is committed to us in a way that is rarely found. When it comes to putting the stability of my career in the hands of another professional there is no one I trust more than Brad Bearden. His passion and drive is beyond contagious and has pushed me to achieve levels of success that are simply amazing."
Jeremy Spratling, 40, Helena, AL

"Brad Bearden has been my personal trainer on two separate occasions over the last two years. He is currently training me now. I have worked with other trainers in the past but Brad by far is the most knowledgeable. He is the best that I have analyzed. Brad is my trainer because of the results he gets his clients. I am been very pleased each time I look into the mirror. You don’t just lift weights, Brad covers the science behind the exercises. Brad pushes you well beyond what you think you can do. He is well grounded and committed to his profession. If you are seeking a personal trainer or if you are not getting the results from your current trainer, I strongly recommend Brad Bearden. Feel free to call me and hear my referral first hand."
Kristy, 26
Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader

"As an Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader I am held to extremely high standards regarding many aspects of life including my physical condition. We are expected to represent our organization well at all times and maintain an extremely fit physique. I would trust no one other than Brad at Elite Fitness Consultants. His attention to detail and dedication to the success of his clients is beyond excellent. Although I live in Atlanta, Georgia I gladly and frequently travel to Birmingham, Alabama to train with Brad and have him adjust my training regiment. The time he takes with each of his clients to teach us how to maintain our results shows that he is not simply a business man but genuinely cares about the ongoing success of all of his clients. Thank you Brad for so much of your time and dedication. You Rock!!!"
Andrea McCay, 32, Hoover, AL

"After my husband and I survived a horrible accident, and I recovered from a life altering neck injury, I never thought I would be able to be active again. Finally my doctors said I could go back to the gym and get back in shape. Although I was very excited, I was very scared of getting hurt. Thankfully I was referred to Brad. From the first session until now I have felt safe and watched myself transform into the best shape of my life. Every workout is detailed to myself and my needs. Brad truly cares about his clients and goes above and beyond in his profession. I am not only in great shape, but have truly grasped what life is really about! I thank God for wonderful guidance and confidence! Thank you Brad it's been a true honor!"
Erik Harris, 34, Hoover, AL

"Brad Bearden is a phenomenal personal trainer I would highly recommend especially if you are very serious going above and beyond to attain your peak physical condition. His expertise not only helped me in achieving getting in the best shape of my life, but it helped me gain a knowledge about fitness I will cherish forever. To me it was not a cost. It was a valuable investment. I now have the knowledge I need to stay in shape the rest of my life as well as a feeling of healthiness. I am strong. I am lean, and I am by NO means starving myself to look the way I do. I credit Brad Bearden for giving me the tools I needed to do it on my own."
Ami Goodnough, 34, Hoover, AL

Last year I was shocked when I suffered a heart attack and almost lost my life. After recovering and completing Cardiac Rehab, I realized I enjoyed the changes my body was making, and I was looking for a way to further challenge myself. I decided I might benefit from a trainer - but wanted to find one who could customize my workouts to my individual needs. I started observing the trainers in the gym I was attending and noticed Brad displaying an incredible amount of patience and encouragement with his clients. Working with Brad has been part of my rehabilitation, and I feel stronger and more sure of myself physically than I have in years. One of the things I appreciate about Brad is that he pushes me so much farther than I ever thought I could go, but he is constantly aware of me - my heart rate, my breathing, etc. -so that I feel safe when I'm working with him. Because of my health history, there are times that I get scared during a workout. Brad is cautious with me, encouraging me to listen to my body while also helping my work through the fears. He doesn't stop the workout, but adjusts to the response my body gives to the challenge. I feel safe when I workout with Brad - that is a gift. Working out with Brad is fun and exhausting at the same time. I remember when I first started training with him, I wished I could afford to work with him every day....who would have thought exercise could be fun while challenging me and making my sweat my heart out. I tend to ask a lot of questions about what we're doing in a workout - I appreciate that Brad is not offended or intimidated by questions. He fesses up when he doesn't know the answer to a question, but usually has a well thought out answer to my questions. I still have a long way to go on this journey to health and fitness. I am proud of what I've accomplished so far, and I owe a great deal to Brad for walking with me on this journey so far.

Q. What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?

A. I am a mom of 3 that had been taking classes at another facility for over a year. I wasn't losing weight or looking how I wanted to look. I wanted to be comfortable in a bathing suit. No scratch that, I wanted to be one of the HOT moms at the pool. To accomplish that, I needed someone to teach me what to do. I'm a big believer in learning from the experts.

Q. What results have you achieved since starting your program?

A. My results from Elite Fitness and Body are both physical and mental. I have lost weight, gained muscle and definition, which I expected. The bonus has been the increase in my endurance, strength, determination, and attitude. I can do more than I ever thought I could. This new found strength and determination filters over into my daily life as well which is sensational!!!

Q. What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

A. OK, lets get real for a moment. I have one thousand things going on at any given time. I am SUPER BUSY!!! Having a personal trainer held me accountable. If I skipped a class anywhere else, no one noticed so I got away with it. Life happens so I did occasionally miss an appointment. However, knowing someone was expecting me to show up made it almost impossible to quit. Plus the trainers at Elite are THE MOST COMPASSIONATE, DEDICATED, EFECTIVE, GENUINE, INSPIRING, MOTIVATING, REMARKABLE, AND LOYAL TRAINERS EVER, PERIOD. I can't say enough good things about them.

Q. How would you compare Elite Fitness to other gyms and/or weight-loss programs you've tried in the past?

A. Elite Fitness is the ONLY place I found that had both an effective, disciplined exercise routine AND diet plan that was based on my metabolism. God created us all differently; my metabolism is different from others so I needed a program that was not "one size fits all". I needed the one size fits Brandy diet and exercise plan that was specific to my goals. I'M ECSTATIC BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I GOT. (happy dance)

Q. How would you best describe your experience at Elite Fitness?

A. My experience at Elite Fitness can best be described as GRATEFUL. I am grateful for the new friends I have made though Elite Fitness. I am grateful for the persistent and motivating trainers that pushed me on days I would want to give up. I am grateful for the test to my physical, mental, and spiritual self. I am grateful for my new found strengths.

Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about joining Elite?

A. If someone asked me about joining Elite Fitness, my answer depends on how well I know you. If you are someone I've never met and wanted my honest opinion my answer is ... DO IT! YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT!!! IF YOU DONT SIGN UP, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE A LESSER VERSION OF YOURSELF AND NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU CAN AMAZINGLY ACCOMPLISH.
If I know you well, my answer is... YOU ARE OF UNSOUND MIND AND SHORTSIGHTED IF YOU DON'T JOIN. That's my nice way of saying you’re crazy stupid if you pass up the opportunity to join.

Christy Pierce, 44, Hoover, AL

Q. What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?

A. Over the last 4 to 5 years, I had a couple of surgeries, battled some depression, and gained 20 plus pounds. I was exhausted all the time and had no energy to maintain a household of five people. I have three children who I desperately wanted to be the best mom that I could be for, and I felt like I was falling short. I managed to take them to their activities but I wanted to do it with a better attitude and I wanted to show them how to overcome a rough patch in life. My main goal was to get stronger and be more energetic, but after starting the program, I am having so much fun losing that extra weight. I also look forward to working out every day which is not something I thought I would never say!

Q. What results have you achieved since starting your program?

A. I started the program the week before Thanksgiving and I have lost 19 pounds not to mention 4 inches off my waist...and inches all over my body. I am definitely stronger. The wonderful trainers at Elite Fitness push you to reach your potential and make you feel like anything they ask of you is possible. I am doing exercises that I never thought I would be able to do. My most exciting day was when, I was able to pull myself up on the rings (can't remember the name of the exercise) and just a few weeks before I could not pull myself up at all without assistance. I have also been getting lots of compliments. I even got a compliment from a waitress at a restaurant that I used to frequent, and she told me I looked fantastic and that I looked like a teenager...ha,ha... I am 44 so that was exciting to hear. My attitude toward exercise has changed. I am not afraid to exercise or push myself anymore. I have also had several family members and friends comment on how much happier I am.

Q. What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

A. By far, the trainers. I have worked one on one with each trainer and they are by your side focusing 100% of their time and energy on me. They make sure I am using the correct form in all of the exercises which is something that I would not know on my own. They are all Christians which I love and I can talk to them freely about my personal as well as my physical being. They are not just fitness trainers but they take into account the whole person, everything you've been through or presently going through. They truly care about their clients. I also love the scripture on the walls. When I think I can't do one more thing, I just start reading God's word right there on the wall in front of me. And the trainers never, ever give up on me nor let me give up on myself.

Q. How would you compare Elite Fitness to other gyms and/or weight-loss programs you've tried in the past?

A. At Elite fitness, you are trained not only physically, but nutritionally as well. They take the time to talk to you about nutrition and give tips on what you can do to improve as well as tell you what your doing well. We have a nutrition log to record each day's meals and they are checked by the trainers every week with suggestions to keep you on track. You can also go to their website to make your appointments or even change them when needed. I like being able to schedule my week or month and know what my routine is going to be. I am also held accountable because I know there is someone waiting, just for me, to help me be the best me I can be! Did I mention that they not only encourage you with their words but through the word of God as well?

Q. How would you best describe your experience at Elite Fitness?

A. I have worked out at many places and tried exercising on my own. I was successful at times but I have never had the level of training and the gaining of knowledge that I have received at Elite Fitness. I work hard...very hard! I'll be honest and say that I have never worked this hard working out before! But, I have learned that I can do it and I never would have known that without the caring and knowledgeable trainers at Elite Fitness.

Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about joining Elite?

A. Just do it! It's the best investment you can make in yourself. It has been for me. When you are feeling good physically and emotionally everything falls into balance and life is good. Get off the fence and join today.

                                              Matt McBride, 31, Helena, AL

Q. What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?

A. After not being able to play with my 3 year old son for longer than a few minutes without getting winded and having back surgery at 29 years old, I decided a lifestyle change was needed.

Q. What results have you achieved since starting your program?

A. Since joining Elite Fitness I have lost over 45 lbs! I can play all day without getting winded and I'm wearing clothes that I haven't seen since my early college days that I was saving in the attic knowing that I would wear them again one day.

Q. What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

A. I love the fact that you are held accountable for how your progress is coming along. You have someone not just pointing you in the right direction but walking with you each step of the way to make sure you are reaching your goals.

Q. How would you compare Elite Fitness to other gyms and/or weight-loss programs you've tried in the past?

A. Elite Fitness isn't just a "Gym", its a group of people that are truly concerned about your well being and willing to go the extra mile to help you. Not only can I see myself transforming, I get to see others transforming first hand as well.

Q. How would you best describe your experience at Elite Fitness?

A. I could never repay Brad and the staff at Elite for the Life Changing experience I have been a part of over the last 9 months.

Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about joining Elite?

A. This is not a fad or an excuse to get out of the house, Elite Fitness is a life changing experience that will stay with you for years to come.

Lisa Stephen, 40, Hoover, AL

Q. What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?

A. At the ripe ol'age of 40 I gave birth to my wonderful baby boy - who was 10 lbs., 10 oz! He was huge ... and sadly, so was I. I realized that at 40 - it's only an uphill battle to stay in shape. I wanted to take control of my health now - and hopefully that would make me, in turn, be a better mom down the road.

Q. What results have you achieved since starting your program?

A. I have achieved physical results: I lost 9 lbs, over 2" from my waist & my body fat went down by over 2 %. That is wonderful in a short time! More importantly - I know that I can DO THIS!

Q. What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

A. The personal attention. I'm not even working with a 'personal' trainer, I am in group classes - but the instructors know you, know your story, and help create the workouts around you & for you.

Q. How would you compare Elite Fitness to other gyms and/or weight-loss programs you've tried in the past?

A. I have never - ever been a gym person. Gyms were always the worst to me. Elite doesn't feel like your typical gym. It's personal. It's a different approach that they take with their clients - it's like family. They genuinely care about you and your success - or if you're struggling, how they can better assist you.

Q. How would you best describe your experience at Elite Fitness?

A. Elite has taught me. Yes, I can now do a push up. Yes, I know what a kettlebell is :-), but over everything else - If you work this hard at getting yourself healthy - think about the choices you make. I now stop & think "Do I really need that pizza after killing myself this morning?" ;-)

Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about joining Elite?

A. That if you are ready to get serious about taking control of your body & your health - this is it. Between the no-brainer food binder (I mean - they give you a shopping list! You can't screw it up), and the personal service.... This will be the time you change yourself for the better. After all - if a postpartum 40 year old can do it - anyone can. :-)

Kathryn Valencia, 52, Hoover, AL

Q. What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?

A. I have been on a running/workout regimen for years but I wanted to get stronger and needed to be educated on strength versus bulking up.

Q. What results have you achieved since starting your program?

A. I've experienced a significant difference in my run, i.e., increase in pace, intensity and the shape of my body, my legs & core in particular, has changed.

Q. What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

A. Hate to admit it since I'm a very independent runner; I typically run alone, not in groups, but it does make a difference on the intensity and duration of my workout, therefore, the results.

Q. How would you compare Elite Fitness to other gyms and/or weight-loss programs you've tried in the past?

A. It's positive. It's effective. It doesn't waste my most valuable asset … my time.

Q. How would you best describe your experience at Elite Fitness?

A. I have enjoyed the education, the attention to my goals, and the camaraderie.

Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about joining Elite?

A. Sometimes it takes a formalized commitment for me to follow through. There's something real about signing a contract that gets your attention, makes you want to not waste your time or money. And sometimes that's the catalyst you need when good intentions are not enough.

                                   David Wiley, 51, Hoover, AL

Q. What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?

A. After more than a decade of poor health and eating habits, combined with a mostly sedentary lifestyle, I was in the worst shape of my life.

Q. What results have you achieved since starting your program?

A. In the two months since joining Elite Fitness, I have lost 10+ pounds and have greatly increased my strength and aerobic capacity. After my first workout, I could barely make it up the stairs in my house. After my most recent workout, I actually joined the "runners" in the class for a lap around the building.

Q. What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

A. The positive energy, attitudes and senses of humor of both the trainers and the participants, combined with "just right" class sizes and the constant change-ups to the workout regimen, help create a great distraction from the hard work that you are putting in.

Q. How would you best describe your experience at Elite Fitness?

A. On a scale of 1 to 10, thus far I would give it 9.8...Burpees.

Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about joining Elite?

A. If you are truly committed to improving your health and lifestyle, Elite Fitness is a great choice! If you’re simply feeling guilty about your bad habits and are looking for a way to satisfy a half-hearted New Year’s resolution, there are easier ways to spend your time and money before you quit in two months…

Lauren McGuffey, 34, Gardendale, AL

Q. What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?

A. I was extremely depressed and ashamed of myself. It was effecting my marriage in a negative way and I had no confidence and felt horrible. I just hit a point where I knew it was time to fight for my life and I needed help doing it.

Q. What results have you achieved since starting your program?

A. A complete change in my confidence level and in my marraige. I'm overall a happier, more easy going, A LOT less stressed person....and that's just the emotional side. My endurance level has completely done a 180! I am more toned and have so much more energy than I've had since probably high school.

Q. What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

A. I like that my program is individualized. It's not a cookie cutter program. Everything is catered to get me my best results from the workouts to the nutrition program.

Q. How would you compare Elite Fitness to other gyms and/or weight-loss programs you've tried in the past?

A. You have a group of people that are truly educated on the aspects of fitness and nutrition and that really care about your success. You don't see trainers on their phones or halfway paying attention to you. They are involved 100% and totally committed to having you achieve the best results that you can and they want you to succeed. They will push you to overcome your fears and see that you can be successful in a totally nonjudgemental atmosphere. Everything about the place is positive and it's like a family.

Q. How would you best describe your experience at Elite Fitness?

A. I would say indescribable! It's hard to put into words all the positive things that have happened since joining Elite! I look forward to working out and quite frankly hate the days that I don't get to come in! It's such a family atmosphere where you can be yourself and laugh, cry or maybe even let out some aggression. It's kind of like having a trainer and counselor all in one!

Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about joining Elite?

A. I would say to not hesitate any longer. It's a total life changer! Elite helps you change inside and out! It's worth the time to have this kind of positive experience.

Lindsey Lindsey, 34, Birmingham, AL

A. I have lost weight and inches and have gained strength and confidence in the process. I am not where I want to be yet, but take it day by day in achieving my goals.

Q. What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

A. Probably one of my favorite aspects of this program is the motivation that comes from the trainers and other clients.

Q. How would you compare Elite Fitness to other gyms and/or weight-loss programs you've tried in the past?

A. Elite Fitness compared to other gyms/programs.....it's short but intense. You get in there, get the job done and you're ready to tackle the day!

Q. How would you best describe your experience at Elite Fitness?

A. Elite Fitness has been life changing. It not only has trained me physically but also helped retrain my thinking about food.

A. I wasn't getting results by either doing it on my own or attending large classes.

Q. What results have you achieved since starting your program?

A. Lost 14 lbs. Established good eating habits. Aware of what foods to avoid and WHY. Blood pressure 102/59. Feel great! Lot's if energy!

A. I wanted to be physically ready for the birth of my child, Olivia Ruth Bennett. With the constant energy and needs of my Olive, I just wanted to keep up for a lifetime.

Q. What results have you achieved since starting your program?

A. Other than a loss of 22+ pounds. My body is in the best shape ever.

Q. What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

A. The focus and attention each individual receives. Every employee of Elite knows your name, to me that is worth a lot.

                                                  Matt Wilson, 30, Hoover, AL

Q. What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?

A. As my 30th birthday approached, I found myself at a point in my life where I was tired of being overweight - a battle I've struggled with all of my life. I wanted to be healthy, change my life in a positive way & be more physically fit, not having to worry about being so self-conscious about my appearance. I met Brad Bearden through happenstance and immediately knew that the program was for me.

Q. What results have you achieved since starting your program?

A. First, I've never truly enjoyed physical activity; the opposite is now true. In all honesty my life has been dramatically changed in a variety of positive ways, having lost some 60 pounds and enjoying a drastic change in my physical appearance. I could not be more pleased that if you're willing to put in the work - make a commitment - your life can truly be changed.

Q. What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

A. As I've mentioned, I've never enjoyed physical activity & exercising, until now. The unique workouts (and accompanying results) create an environment and program that is truly result-oriented in a safe and effective manner. I couldn't imagine working out in any other way at this point.

Q. How would you compare Elite Fitness to other gyms and/or weight-loss programs you've tried in the past?

A. Elite Fitness is a completely unique concept from a workout perspective; however, and much more importantly, founder Brad Bearden has created a positive, encouraging, family-like environment that facilitates motivation and drives individuals to be their best.

Q. How would you best describe your experience at Elite Fitness?

A. Life-changingly incredible. Period.

Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about joining Elite?

A. You will never find a staff more dedicated to your success, an environment that instills motivation & encouragement, as well as - in all honesty - an opportunity to change your life in a positive way.

                                Miranda Smith, 22, Hoover, AL

Q. What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?

A. My confidence was shot. I have always started fad diets or began a program and quit so I wanted to know that I am capable of finishing something and I am worth it.

Q. What results have you achieved since starting your program?

A. My energy level is the highest it has ever been. I want to constantly be moving. I can look in the mirror and see myself getting smaller and it is exciting. It makes me want to do more!

Q. What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

A. They understand. That's huge for me. I want someone who has been there, knows the struggles and can help me out. I can tell them anything and know I won't be judged and it is freeing to know that.

Q. How would you compare Elite Fitness to other gyms and/or weight-loss programs you've tried in the past?

A. I enjoy not being a machine rabbit. It is awesome knowing that the workouts I learn in the gym, I can take home and do as well. Not everyone has the money to have that awesome gym in their basement but if all I need is kettlebell and a floor mat, I'm set!

Q. How would you best describe your experience at Elite Fitness?

A. Intense! I know that I am not about to waste my time. Before I started I was worried about spending time away from work and home but when I went I realized this will probably be the most proactive hour I will have had all day.

Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about joining Elite?

A. DO IT! It's scary and the longer you think about it the more excuses you will find not to. If you want to find somewhere to go where they care about you, want to see you succeed and know that your best interest is their #1 priority, this is the spot to be!

Brandon Massey, 31, Birmingham, AL

A. I wanted to get healthier and feel better.

Q. What results have you achieved since starting your program?

A. I have lost fat, gained lean muscle and have seen a dramatic increase in my endurance.

Q. What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

A. It's very helpful having someone push you to your limits each and every time you train.

Q. How would you compare Elite Fitness to other gyms and/or weight-loss programs you've tried in the past?

A. They really care about your goals and help you come up with the best program to achieve those goals. They see you as an individual, not just another client.

Q. What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?

A. We were on a family vacation and had gone to an amusement park. One of my children asked me to ride the roller coaster with him, but when we arrived at the front, I was informed that I would not fit on the ride. I was thoroughly embarrassed and humiliated. More than that, I missed out on an opportunity to make a memory and have fun with my children. After that, I decided that I would NEVER go through that type of situation again. So the following Monday, October 3, 2010, I began my weight loss journey.

Q. What results have you achieved since starting your program?

A. In the past two and a half years, I have lost 139 pounds. But I have gained so much more. I am stronger, healthier, and lighter than I have ever been in my entire life. I can now go to the amusement park and not only ride every ride, but also last longer than my children! I can go to the mall and shop, not in one or two select plus size stores, but I can shop in almost any of the shops. That is such a gratifying experience. I have gained the ability to be more involved with my children. We began riding bikes as a family and we love it. I have gained so many memories and fun times that I would have missed out on. My life has been so enriched by doing this, in ways I never even thought about when I started losing weight.

Q. What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

A. I was extremely obese when I started losing weight. I began by walking for an hour. Each week I tried to add one more lap to my distance. After about nine months, walking wasn't enough, so I began a very long couch to 5K program. I would go to our church gym at odd times to run because I was so self conscious.and I didn't want anyone to see me. Over the next five months, I got to where I could run for thirty minutes without walking. The running also helped me to continue to lose weight. I began doing Insanity workouts and P90x videos with some ladies at church. It worked for awhile, but then in January 2013, I hit a wall. My weight wouldn't budge. For the next five months, I tried everything I could do, but nothing worked. I googled personal trainers, one day in May, and three names came up. I called all three and spoke to them over the phone. I KNEW, just from talking on the phone, that Brad, at Elite Fitness, was who I needed to help me. God has been with me throughout this long, hard journey and I know that He led me to Elite. I came in for a preliminary meeting with Brad. I wasn't sure about working with a personal trainer. I really wanted results, but thought I had reached the end of what I could physically do on my own. After the first class, my perspective totally changed. Because at Elite, you have a trainer that is 100% on your side! Brad has both education and experience. He knows about diet and nutrition. He also knows that there is no "magic" pill, but hard work and eating right are the ways to lose weight. Brad gave me a personalized diet, not a one size fits all diet. He talked to me and evaluated what I needed and then designed a plan just for me. Brad and the team of trainers at Elite, all have one goal: to do whatever it takes for you to succeed and reach your goal. It is so wonderful to have a coach that pushes you to be your best and expresses pride in you for what you have done. Having a trainer has helped me to go farther than I ever thought I possibly could. When I think I am done, Brad says he knows I can do more, he is right there with you when you reach the point of wanting to give in and he pushes you to hang on. It is so nice to not be trying to do this on my own. In hindsight, I wish I had started out with Brad, instead of coming to him after two and a half years. I truly believe I would have had faster results and reached my goals quicker.

What is unique and/or different about Elite Fitness Compared?

A. I would have to say the most unique aspect of Elite Fitness is the feeling like you are part of a family. I workout with six to ten other people in my class. When I first heard about working out in groups, I was uncomfortable with it. The thoughts running through my head were "everyone is going to be looking at me", "I'm going to be slower than everyone else", and "I don't want to compete against all these people who are already in shape". After the very first group session, I learned that all of these doubts in my head were just that. First, during workout, NO ONE is looking at you (except the trainers). Everyone is focused on doing the exercises correctly, Not on how you look trying to do them. Second, it doesn't matter if you are slower than others, everyone in the class offers you encouragement to finish and then celebrates with you that you finished it. Third, there is no real competition. You do the best you can and so does everyone else. After class, we talk to each other and share struggles/concerns. We invest in each other's lives. I have friends from workout that I talk to throughout the week, outside of classes. Elite encourages us to be a family. That's something that I don't think you can find at other places.

How would you best describe your experience at Elite Fitness?

A. The best way to describe my experience at Elite is that it has been a huge blessing of God in my life. I have success! I have almost reached my goals. When I started two and a half years ago, I didn't think I would ever make it to this point. Elite has been "the light at the end of the tunnel" and it gets brighter every month. Elite has helped me to succeed where I would have quit on my own. They have offered me motivation and accountability to keep going. They have enabled me to reach my goals.

Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about joining Elite?

A. I would tell you that it is time to start today! Make the choice, make the commitment, and do it! It means changing your life for the better. Yes, it will be hard and yes, you will have to work for it. But the feeling of looking back to see how far you came and how much you have overcome are priceless and will ALWAYS make the journey worth it! Elite can help you do it, just like they have for me.
